Azure APIs Observability and Messaging
Coverage includes Cosmos DB in Fabric, API rate limiting and tracing, CBOR, Copilot model integration, SQL migration, and transactional outbox delivery.
Jasen's top three picks
- 1 Announcing Public Preview for Azure Cosmos DB in Fabric Database Hub!
Microsoft Dev Blogs - Jai Maldonado
Cosmos DB accounts can now be discovered and monitored through Fabric Database Hub in this public preview.
- 2 How to Add Rate Limiting to ASP.NET Core APIs
C# Corner
A practical overview of configuring limiter policies, selecting algorithms, and returning 429 responses from ASP.NET Core APIs.
- 3 Azure SDK Release (September 2026)
Microsoft Dev Blogs - Justin Bettencourt
The monthly Azure SDK release roundup collects new features, improvements, and fixes across supported client libraries.
Editor's note
I pulled together a deliberately broad set today, from Azure platform updates to practical API engineering. The CBOR introduction is useful for teams evaluating compact payload formats, while the transactional outbox walkthrough tackles a failure mode that can quietly lose events. I also included the Cosmos DB Fabric preview because centralized discovery and monitoring matter as data estates grow.
